Wello Publishes 2026 Budget Analysis Report

AI govtech company Wello (CEO Kim Yu-ri-anna) published its "2026 Budget Analysis Report," outlining personalized policies for citizens based on the government's 2026 budget, which was finalized at 727.9 trillion won. The report systematically summarizes policy benefits by life cycle, from infants to the elderly, allowing citizens to intuitively check whether they are eligible for benefits.

The infant and childcare policy includes the introduction of a new "10 a.m. Start Time for Childcare," which allows parents of children in sixth grade and below to arrive at work an hour later without a pay cut. Companies that adopt this system will receive incentives of up to 300,000 won per month. Budgets have also been allocated to increase childcare fees and teacher allowances and improve the teacher-to-child ratio in 0-year-old classes, strengthening the safety and quality of childcare.

The youth policy includes support for group activities and expansion of the psychological counseling infrastructure. This includes supporting 1,000 youth clubs and project teams and expanding the staff at counseling and suicide prevention centers, thereby establishing a foundation for protecting at-risk youth and fostering self-directed activities.

Youth policies have expanded across education, housing, employment, and finance. These include increased national scholarships, fostering AI talent, low-income rent support, expanding public rental housing, and improving working conditions, including the creation of the Youth Future Savings Fund and the pilot implementation of a 4.5-day workweek.

Policies for middle-aged and older adults include customized benefits tailored to their daily lives, such as re-employment incentives, increased senior employment incentives, relaxed national pension eligibility criteria, and support for sports programs for the elderly.

Wello CEO Kim Yu-ri-anna said, “The 2026 budget reflects policies that are directly connected to the people’s daily lives,” and added, “Wello will support policies to lead to tangible benefits for the people through data-based analysis and fulfill its responsibility as a government tech company.”
