SafetyX , which provides robot safety analysis and safety/productivity optimization design software SafetyDesigner, announced that it signed an overseas distribution agreement with Taiwanese robot/motion control solution company Nexcobot in December 2025.
Under this agreement, Nexcobot will exclusively distribute SafetyDesigner in Taiwan, China, and Japan, where it has an existing distribution network. In other regions, including the Americas and Europe, Nexcobot plans to expand sales through general distribution channels. The two companies signed a supply agreement with a minimum order quantity of 100 million won.
The collaboration between the two companies aims to systematically incorporate robot safety from the design stage, rather than as an afterthought, and to expand a robot safety analysis system that balances safety and productivity to the global market. This will enable proactive risk assessment during the robot design phase and reduce potential modifications and rework during field implementation.
SafetyDesigner provides simulation-based analysis of human-robot collision safety and automatically generates risk assessments and related reports. Designed to enable quantitative safety verification prior to robot installation, it supports efficient management of the time and costs required to implement safety measures.
Additionally, safety is analyzed based on international standards such as ISO 10218-2 and ISO/TS 15066, and maximum safe speeds are proposed for each work environment. This provides design guidance that minimizes productivity losses while meeting safety requirements.
Nexcobot, a subsidiary of Taiwanese industrial robot company Nexcom, has been focusing its business on industrial fields such as robot control, motion control, and functional safety. Through this distribution agreement, Safetyx plans to expand SafetyDesigner's supply, focusing on key Asian manufacturing markets, and expand its reach to the Americas and Europe.
This collaboration is significant in that it represents a case of a domestic robot software company establishing a global supply structure based on a distribution agreement with an overseas distribution partner, and it concretizes the path for robot safety software to expand overseas.
