The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will hold a 2026 business report meeting to review policy implementation with public and private organizations.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Han Sung-sook) announced on the 12th that it held a 2026 business report meeting at the Government Complex Sejong Convention Center, with representatives from public institutions, related organizations, and private sector organizations. This meeting was designed to assess the operational efficiency of public institutions and the implementation of national tasks. For the first time, the entire meeting was live-streamed on YouTube, attempting to communicate with the public in real time.

This business briefing session included sharing key initiatives by each agency, gathering feedback from policymakers, and engaging in discussions. Fifteen public institutions, including the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, the Small and Medium Business Market Promotion Agency, and the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, as well as five private organizations, including the Korea Federation of SMEs, the Korea Venture Business Association, the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise, and the Korea Startup Forum, participated.

The major tasks presented at the report meeting include ▲creating a local startup boom, a consumption stimulation campaign, supporting the recovery of small business owners and establishing a safety net, and revitalizing social solidarity finance ▲full operation of a one-stop startup support center, expansion of regional venture funds ▲transition to productive finance, rapid transition of small and medium-sized enterprises to AI ▲establishment of a small and medium-sized enterprise technology loss assessment center, establishment of a new evaluation system for the win-win finance index, and expansion of targets for the performance sharing system.

Common priorities include revitalizing and fostering coexistence in the local economy, safety and disaster management, and strengthening public communication. Minister Han Seong-sook stated, "The Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the public sector, and related organizations will work together to consolidate policy capabilities to restore the growth ladder for SMEs, ventures, and small businesses." She presented three core missions: shifting policies toward growth promotion, data-driven service innovation, and bold support for local businesses.
