XL8 Provides AI Simultaneous Interpretation and Translation at the K-BioX ABDD Summit

XL8 (CEO Younghoon Jeong) announced that it provided its real-time AI simultaneous interpretation and translation solution, 'EventCAT', to the 'SNU KIC SV K-BioX ABDD (AI Biohealthcare Drug Discovery) Summit 2026' held at Stanford University in Silicon Valley, USA on the 11th (local time).

Eventcat is an AI simultaneous interpretation and translation solution specialized for business meetings, lectures, and conferences. Its proprietary AI engine, trained on expert-curated data accumulated over 20 years, delivers a consistent translation tone by analyzing expression patterns based on age and gender. To date, over 1,000 global companies and organizations have used the solution, supporting over 50 languages.

This summit, co-hosted by K-BioX, a network of Korean-American life scientists, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco, Seoul National University, and KIC Silicon Valley, was designed to discuss the latest research trends and collaboration opportunities in AI-based biohealthcare and new drug development. For the second consecutive year, XL8 provided AI-powered simultaneous interpretation and translation services at the event.

XL8 provided real-time interpretation and translation for all sessions, including keynote speeches by six leading Stanford University researchers, including James Zou and Professor Jinhyung Lee. Participants could access subtitles and audio in their preferred language in real time on their smartphones or tablets via QR codes for each session.

Furthermore, pre-learning and automatic chunking technology for specialized materials in biohealthcare and new drug development simultaneously ensured both translation accuracy and processing speed. Furthermore, the provision of recorded files and summaries enhanced the completeness of the service. An AI short-form content creation event in 50 languages was held at an outdoor booth, with approximately 100 companies participating.

K-BioX CEO Lee Si-yeon said that the efficiency of communication between researchers has improved since the introduction of EventCat, and plans to expand its introduction to academia and industry in the future.

Jeong Young-hoon, CEO of XL8, said that the demand for real-time interpretation and translation is increasing not only in global events but also in various fields such as corporations and public institutions, and that he will strengthen global competitiveness based on high-quality multilingual interpretation and translation technology.

Since its establishment in 2019, XL8 has been focusing on improving the global communication environment through EventCAT, an integrated online and offline AI translation solution, and MediaCAT, an AI localization platform for video content.
