Seojin Systems , a global comprehensive manufacturing platform company, announced on the 14th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with autonomous driving robot specialist Jenix Robotics for ‘AI-based robot foundry technology cooperation.’
This agreement aims to integrate Genix Robotics' AI autonomous driving and robot control technologies into Seojin Systems' ongoing robot foundry business, enhancing its technological sophistication and strengthening its competitiveness in the global market. The agreement was signed on the 13th.
Seojin Systems' Robot Foundry is an open, collaborative model where partners provide robotics-related expertise, and Seojin Systems leverages its global manufacturing infrastructure to handle everything from robot design to mass production. Through this model, the company aims to supply customized robots to a wide range of industries.
Genix Robotics, a company participating in this collaboration, has supplied over 700 automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to global manufacturing sites. Genix Robotics' autonomous driving platform and multi-robot integrated control system are considered applicable technologies in diverse industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and ports.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to gradually promote cooperation in local production and assembly of robots and automation equipment in Vietnam, joint technology verification (PoC) in the manufacturing and logistics automation sector, and exploration of joint business opportunities targeting global customers.
Seojin Systems operates a vertically integrated process encompassing metal processing, parts manufacturing, and module assembly through its production bases in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, Vietnam. This foundation provides a production base for mass-producing robots powered by Genix Robotics' AI technology and supplying them to the global market.
With this agreement, Seojin Systems adds Genix Robotics to its existing robo-foundry portfolio as a key partner, expanding its collaborative ecosystem encompassing both hardware and software. The company plans to supply customized robots to diverse industries, including semiconductors, energy storage systems, ports, and logistics.
The two companies plan to establish a working-level consultative body in the future to implement specific cooperation projects and expand the scope of cooperation to global markets such as the Americas and Europe, with Vietnam as a base.
