ARGOS Identity (CEO Wonkyu Lee), an AI-based identity authentication platform company, announced that it has signed a solution supply contract with ICB and will provide an identity authentication process automation solution for ICB's overseas remittance service membership registration process.
This agreement aims to automate the ID verification process during the international remittance service sign-up process, which previously required manual verification by operators. This process aims to improve authentication processing speed and accuracy, while simultaneously enhancing service efficiency and user experience.
As the use of non-face-to-face financial services expands, the importance of verifying the authenticity of identification at the membership registration stage and detecting forgery, alteration, or duplication is increasing. International remittance services, in particular, are characterized by a rapid influx of users, making ensuring both authentication accuracy and processing speed a key operational challenge.
ICB operates a service that allows domestic and international users to remit money overseas in a non-face-to-face environment. As the number of users grows, ICB has been evolving its authentication process to establish a more consistent and efficient authentication system. This process has led to a growing demand for an automated authentication structure that can reduce operational burden without compromising the user experience.
Accordingly, ARGOS Identity will provide Verify's ID Liveness solution to build an environment that automatically determines whether an ID card is an actual, photographed original image. This solution reduces the risk of fraudulent use, such as with ID copies or captured images, while also shortening authentication processing times.
The ID Liveness solution utilizes image analysis technology to analyze the ID photo capture environment and image characteristics, determining authenticity. This automates the verification process previously performed manually by operators and provides a simpler membership registration process for users.
With the introduction of this solution, ICB expects to improve the speed and accuracy of authentication processing during the membership registration process, establish a stable, non-face-to-face identity verification system, and enhance operational efficiency.
ARGOS Identity CEO Won-gyu Lee explained that identity verification at the membership registration stage is a key element of service reliability, and that through this collaboration, they will expand identity verification cases that simultaneously consider user experience and operational efficiency.
