
The Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the Sejong Center) announced on the 13th that it held a '2026 Key Business Plan Meeting' chaired by Sejong City Mayor Choi Min-ho.
This meeting was organized to examine implementation plans for Sejong City's startup policy to go beyond mere support and function as a real growth engine for local industries as the city strives to become an economically self-sufficient city.
The meeting was held with the Sejong City Mayor directly listening to the policy suggestions and field concerns of Sejong Center staff. Discussions were held to enhance the effectiveness of startup policies by gathering feedback from the field.
At this event, the Sejong Center presented the following key tasks for 2026 to concretize the "Comprehensive Plan for Creating a Startup and Venture Ecosystem" announced by Sejong City: ▲ Strengthening the technology startup infrastructure and growth system, ▲ Expanding the creation of early-stage venture investment funds, and ▲ Building a technology-based startup and venture growth ladder.
Additionally, discussions were held on how to implement Sejong as a public innovation testbed by linking the Sejong-type AI governance technology with an open innovation program that promotes collaboration between private companies and startups.
The Sejong Center plans to strengthen its startup support system, encompassing everything from startup discovery and development to investment and funding, and expand its role in supporting the sustainable growth of local startups.
