CUBIG, a company specializing in secure synthetic data and AI privacy, announced that it has been selected as a supplier for the "Data Voucher" program operated by the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency (KDIA) in 2026. The Data Voucher program supports data utilization by companies seeking to develop data-based services and products and drive business innovation. Information on the program's operation and announcements will be posted on the official Data Voucher portal.
With growing concerns about personal and sensitive information leaks across domestic industries and the widespread adoption of generative AI and agent-based technologies, demand for "AI-ready data ready for learning and analysis" is rapidly increasing. However, many companies are unable to fully utilize high-risk data due to regulatory and security requirements, internal controls, and data quality issues, leading to repeated instances of AI projects stalling beyond the PoC stage.
Through this data voucher, Cubic will provide a service centered around its Data Transform System (DTS), which safely converts data held by companies but unusable due to regulatory, security, and quality issues into a reusable format. DTS combines a non-accessible structure that minimizes direct access to the original data with differential privacy-based synthesis technology to reconstruct and augment datasets, minimizing the risk of sensitive information exposure while preserving the data's statistical patterns and business utility.
Cubic provides an end-to-end implementation system that encompasses data diagnosis and goal definition, security environment configuration, synthetic data generation and augmentation, quality and safety verification, final delivery, and downstream (learning/analysis) application support. This focuses on strengthening areas where data is lacking and accelerating the AI transition by reducing the burden of data export, authorization, and review associated with collaboration with departments and external partners.
Cubic, in particular, emphasizes its synthetic data verification capabilities. DTS provides verification reports for synthetic data, including statistical similarity, re-identification potential, and model performance usability assessments, enabling companies to objectively verify AI-ready data at a usable level, while also responding to internal security reviews and audits.
Baeho Cubic CEO said, “What’s important in the data voucher project is not simple processing, but the ability to convert data into data that can actually produce AI results.” Cubic will support companies in demand to overcome regulatory and security barriers and quickly realize data-driven innovation through a synthetic data pipeline that verifies both safety and usability without exporting the original data.
