Mobility concierge platform company Chabot Mobility (CEO Kang Sung-geun) is accelerating its entry into the global market by officially moving into Menlo Park, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, USA.
Chabot Mobility announced on the 15th that it has been selected as a tenant for the K-Startup Center within the Silicon Valley Startup and Venture Campus, operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. This selection will allow Chabot Mobility to officially move into its Menlo Park, Silicon Valley, base and begin full-scale global business expansion, focusing on the United States.
The K-Startup Center is a global expansion support hub, centered around the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and involving key organizations such as the Korea Venture Investment Corporation, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development, and the Korea Technology Finance Corporation. It supports the overseas expansion of Korean startups through an integrated system that provides investment linkages, commercialization support, and global network building. Chabot Mobility was selected as a resident company after an evaluation of its technological prowess, business viability, and global expansion potential.
Chabot Mobility plans to leverage the K-Startup Center as a global market validation platform to conduct pilot projects with repair shops, body shops, dealer groups, and insurtech companies in Silicon Valley and California. Through this, the company aims to refine its product and service structure tailored to the US market and design pricing policies and contract structures that reflect local market characteristics.
Additionally, the company is expanding its collaboration base with local companies by establishing various partnership models, including white label, reseller, and API integration. In the mid- to long-term, the company aims to establish a global SaaS and API export hub based in the United States.
Chabot Mobility plans to leverage the K-Startup Center's network of local accelerators and global venture capitalists to explore opportunities for global investment. Through this, the company aims to expand its potential for follow-up investment and establish mid- to long-term partnerships with key companies in the maintenance, insurance, and mobility data infrastructure sectors.
Chabot Mobility has been actively pursuing business activities targeting overseas markets, including participating in a Mongolian government-led mobility program and establishing partnerships in the Japanese market. This move to Silicon Valley is seen as a step toward translating this global expansion strategy into tangible business results.
Kang Sung-keun, CEO of Chabot Mobility, said that this move will be an opportunity to verify technological competitiveness and business model in the center of the U.S. mobility industry, and that he will pursue growth as a global mobility data platform company based on his platform operation experience and data capabilities.
