Wadiz Impact, a subsidiary of Wadiz in charge of education and government projects, has revealed the major achievements of crowdfunding for local small business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and startups in 2025.
According to Wadiz, over 1,000 projects were funded by 140,000 people, generating a total of 12.2 billion won. The "Our Neighborhood Crowdfunding Support Project," run in partnership with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Market Service, saw the participation of over 400 small business owners, raising 8.4 billion won in funding and attracting over 93,000 supporters. This year, the project expanded globally to support small business owners' overseas expansion and marketing efforts.
The "2025 Agricultural and Food Crowdfunding" campaign, conducted in collaboration with the National Agricultural Policy Insurance and Finance Institute, saw the participation of 144 agricultural and food companies, generating a cumulative funding of 2.3 billion won. A diverse range of projects, from direct-to-farm fruit delivery to processed foods and unique products utilizing imported raw materials, demonstrated marketability.
In the climate tech sector, 20 startups were selected from over 100 companies that applied. The selected companies received support, including customized advertising, detailed website development, and offline funding training, resulting in approximately 200 million won in funding and 2,200 supporters. Projects focused on climate-response solutions, such as eco-friendly materials, resource recycling, and vegan and upcycled products, garnered significant attention.
“The 2025 results demonstrate that crowdfunding can simultaneously create social value and economic performance,” said Dong-cheol Choi, CEO of Wadiz Impact. “We plan to continue supporting domestic and international growth opportunities for local businesses and innovative startups.”
