Y&Archer has disclosed its investment and follow-up performance for 2025. According to Y&Archer, the total new investment in 2025 will be 7.56 billion won across 57 startups, with a cumulative number of invested companies reaching 222, and the cumulative investment value reaching approximately 1.6 trillion won.
Y&Archer's 2025 investment strategy centers on strengthening technology-based investments focused on deep tech and expanding the discovery of regional startups. Furthermore, the company expanded its investment target to include entrepreneurial small businesses and local brands that can connect with deep tech, creating a portfolio that fosters the synergy of technology and local industries. The company explained that it pursued balanced investment nationwide by identifying and investing in companies with high growth potential, centered on regionally specialized accelerators.
Of the 57 newly invested companies, 39, or approximately 68%, were located outside the metropolitan area. Investments took place across the country, including Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, North and South Gyeongsang Province, Daegu and Gwangju, Sejong and Chungcheong Province, and Jeju Island. Y&Archer evaluated this approach as not simply a matter of regional dispersion, but rather a structure that combines nurturing, investment, and follow-up collaboration to generate tangible results within the local startup ecosystem.
The success of deep-tech-focused technology startup investments has led to TIPS selections. Eight companies, including Evertreis, Adone, Sweet & Sweets, BPK, EpoA, Red Sleepers, DiveXL, and BT Energy, were selected for the 2025 Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS program. NutriAdvisor was selected for the Seoul TIPS program, and OneCup was selected for the Gyeonggi-do TIPS program.
In addition to investments in technology startups, the LIPS program has also shown positive results targeting entrepreneurial small business owners and local brands. Through LIPS 1, companies such as Linergy, Pitch Interactive, NutriAdvisor, It the Company, Team Bold, Geos, and Softlanders were approved for loans totaling 2.6 billion won. Under LIPS 2, newly introduced in 2025, operators were selected from the first year, expanding support to deep tech and industry-specific companies.
Success continued in terms of global expansion. Y&Archer expanded its global partnerships, focusing on Thailand, Europe, and Seoul. In Thailand, based in Bangkok's Ratchaphruek base, it promoted the discovery and investment of Southeast Asian startups and won the Prime Minister's Award at the "Thailand Startup 2025" awards ceremony. In Europe, it collaborated with Zurich-based investment firm Tenity to develop a program for Korean startups to expand into Europe. In Seoul, it participated in a program supporting overseas startups' entry into Korea, expanding global startup exchanges.
Y&Archer plans to continue strengthening follow-up investments and commercialization links in the future to expand the achievements of local startups and small business owners into the global market.
