Masuoto Vice President Noh Je-kyung Selected as "2025 Innovative Autonomous Driving Person"

MARS AUTO (CEO Park Il-soo), a self-driving truck startup, announced that its COO, Je-kyung Noh, was selected as the '2025 Innovative Autonomous Driving Person' and received a commendation for his contributions at the '2026 AI NIGHT (Autonomous Driving Person's Night)' event hosted by the Korea Autonomous Driving Industry Association.

The Korea Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association holds an annual event to discuss future strategies and cooperation plans for the autonomous vehicle industry, and selects and rewards individuals who have contributed to the industry's development. Award recipients are selected through a review committee comprised of experts from academia and related organizations, focusing on individuals who have contributed to building the autonomous vehicle ecosystem and enhancing industry competitiveness.

Since joining Masauto in 2022, Vice President Noh has spearheaded the commercialization of autonomous cargo transportation. He has promoted the commercialization of camera-centric, end-to-end autonomous driving AI technology and achieved significant results in real-world logistics environments, including achieving 36 consecutive months of paid transportation and a cumulative mileage of 10 million kilometers, a first for Korea.

Masuoto and Vice President Noh have previously won numerous awards. In 2023, Masuoto received the CES Innovation Award and the Minister of Science and ICT Award, while Vice President Noh received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for his contribution to the regulatory sandbox.

Mars Auto is the developer of "Mars Pilot," a camera-based AI autonomous driving system. Its camera-centric system eliminates the need for expensive LiDAR sensors, enabling installation on standard trucks for around 10 million won. Last November, Mars Auto was selected as the lead agency for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 18.2 billion won "Large Truck Unmanned Autonomous Driving Commercialization Technology Development" project, and is currently working on the project with the goal of commercialization in 2027.

Vice President Noh Je-kyung said, “This award goes beyond individual achievement and demonstrates that autonomous large trucks are entering the stage of full-scale commercialization,” and added, “Through continuous technological advancements and industrial cooperation, we will contribute to expanding autonomous trucks into the AX of the logistics industry.”
