AI Spera, an AI attack surface management platform exclusively for public institutions, has been designated as an innovative product by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

AI-based cybersecurity company AI Spera announced on the 15th that its public institution-specific attack surface management (ASM) platform 'Criminal IP KASM' was designated as an innovative product by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

The Ministry of Science and ICT's innovative product designation system selects products with technological prowess and innovation that can contribute to solving public sector problems and promotes their adoption by public institutions. Designated products can be piloted and expanded in public institutions in the future.

Criminal IP KASM is an AI-based security platform that detects and manages in real time the increased IT assets and attack surfaces resulting from digital transformation and the proliferation of cloud computing. Unlike traditional periodic and manual inspection methods, it automatically identifies externally exposed IT assets and analyzes vulnerabilities and risks using AI to support proactive response.

The solution provides automatic detection of IT assets, automatic analysis of vulnerabilities and ports, AI-based automatic risk scoring, and dark web, deep web, and surface web threat information monitoring functions, and can even automatically identify hidden assets based on data from 4.3 billion public IP addresses.

Kang Byeong-tak, CEO of AI Spera, said, “By designating this product as an innovative product, we will proactively prevent cyber threats in the expanded IT infrastructure environment of central government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and their affiliated organizations,” adding, “We expect this to increase the efficiency of public digital asset security management.”
