Dewix Signs MOU with Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital

DWEAX (CEO Ahn Jun-hyung), an artificial intelligence (AI) and data specialist company, announced on the 19th that it recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital (Director Min Jeong-jun) and will begin cooperation to advance AI-based medical diagnosis technology and utilize medical big data.

Through this agreement, Dewix plans to enhance the perfection of its AI diagnostic technology based on medical data generated in actual clinical settings, while also promoting joint research and commercialization in the digital healthcare field.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both institutions, including Kim Hyung-seok, director of the Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital's Biomedical Research Institute, Cho Sang-hee, director of the Clinical Trial Center, Ahn Jae-sook, director of the Biomedical Research Department, and Ahn Jun-hyung, CEO of Dewix.

Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to pursue various collaborative projects, including collaboration on clinical data utilization and clinical trial-related technologies, building AI learning datasets through medical data purification and de-identification, advancing AI-based diagnostic and analysis technologies, and jointly discovering new business models in the digital healthcare sector.

This agreement is considered significant in that it systematically utilizes medical data accumulated in actual clinical settings to enhance the reliability and effectiveness of AI diagnostic technology and expand the potential industrial application of research results.

Kim Hyung-seok, director of the Biomedical Research Institute at Chonnam National University Hospital in Hwasun, said that he expects that combining the hospital's clinical experience and research infrastructure with Dewix's technological prowess will be able to present a new model for utilizing medical big data.

Dewix has been providing digital transformation solutions across various industries based on AI-based data analysis and automation technologies. With this agreement, it aims to fully expand its technology application and business scope to the medical field.
