Miso Information Technology (CEO Nam Sang-do), a multi-modal data platform specialist, announced on the 19th that its data quality diagnosis service 'Smart MDQ' was designated as an innovative product by the Ministry of Science and ICT in recognition of its technological innovation and public nature.
With this innovative product designation, SmartMDQ can be introduced by public institutions through a negotiated contract for up to six years. This is expected to promote the use of public data and data-based verification and diffusion in diverse fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, and construction. Innovative product designations are determined through a comprehensive evaluation of technological innovation, public service value, and field applicability.
Smart MDQ can be introduced through the Public Procurement Service's public innovation procurement platform, "Innovation Marketplace," and can also be used for actual procurement-linked demonstrations through the pilot procurement system. Entry into the public market is actively supported through the designation of new innovative products in the defense and aerospace sectors and expansion of overseas demonstration budgets.
SmartMDQ provides automatic data error detection, verification of consistency, completeness, and accuracy, standards-based data quality management, and data reliability assurance for AI and analytics applications, targeting the vast amounts of data generated in the public sector. It combines rule-based and AI-based quality diagnostic technologies to refine production, facility, and quality data in healthcare and manufacturing environments, as well as public institution administrative data, to a level suitable for AI utilization. This transforms the existing manual data inspection method into an automated and intelligent data quality management system.
Through SmartMDQ, Smile Information Technology plans to support the digital transformation of the public and industry sectors, including building AI factories, providing core data infrastructure for manufacturing AI transformation, strengthening data governance in public institutions, and ensuring basic data quality for government projects related to AI, big data, and digital platforms.
Nam Sang-do, CEO of Smile Information Technology, said, “The starting point for public institutions’ AI transformation is securing reliable data quality,” and added, “With the Public Procurement Service’s designation as an innovative product, we will contribute to innovation in public data quality management and advancement of data-based public services.”
