AX solution specialist Entels (CEO Il-kyu Choi) announced on the 19th that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with LIG Systems in the defense industry and is initiating full-scale collaboration on TarzanDB. The two companies also signed a separate supply contract for 10 defense projects expected to be completed by 2026. This collaboration aims to jointly verify data-based infrastructure to meet the highest levels of stability and security required in the defense environment, and to link it to actual business applications.
The two companies plan to jointly apply the database architecture required by the characteristics of defense information systems and verify it in mission-critical environments, including non-stop operation, disaster recovery, and large-scale transaction processing. The goal is to build a database operation model capable of stable operation even in closed and restricted network environments, thereby enhancing the reliability of the overall defense system.
LIG Systems has extensive experience in the defense industry and defense IT sectors, implementing projects requiring high levels of stability, such as command and control systems and weapon system integration systems. This partnership agreement is expected to strengthen its integrated technology capabilities, including databases, and secure competitiveness in next-generation defense digital transformation projects.
Entels' TarzanDB is a PostgreSQL-based high-availability DBMS solution featuring automatic failure recovery, read load balancing, and data integrity guarantees, making it ideal for long-term, stable operation in the defense and public sectors.
LIG Systems CEO Hong Gil-jun said, “This contract is an important starting point for implementing data infrastructure optimized for the defense environment using domestic technology,” and “Through cooperation with TarzanDB, we will be able to simultaneously increase the stability and operational efficiency of defense systems.”
"The defense industry is a sector where data reliability and availability are paramount," said Choi Il-gyu, CEO of Entels. "Through this agreement, we will validate TarzanDB's technology in a real-world defense environment and demonstrate the potential of domestic database technology." Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to expand their collaboration beyond the defense industry to include public and national core infrastructure.
