Beam Software Appoints Hong Seong-gu as New Korea Country Manager

Veeam Software, a global company in the data resiliency field, announced on the 19th that it has appointed Hong Seong-gu as the new CEO of its Korean branch.

Mr. Hong will lead Beam Software's go-to-market strategy, customer success programs, and partner ecosystem development in the Korean market, helping companies strengthen their data resilience. Beam Software provides resilience, security, governance, and privacy solutions to ensure the safety, compliance, and auditability of large-scale AI environments, and this appointment comes at a strategic time.

“Gi-sun Hong is a proven go-to-market leader in the Korean corporate and public sectors, and has extensive experience working with channel partners,” said Beni Sia, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). “His leadership will be a driving force for our customers to protect and recover their data and create more value.”

Mr. Hong has over 29 years of experience in the enterprise technology industry. He has held leadership and sales positions at DataStax and MariaDB Corporation Korea, as General Manager and Executive Vice President of Sales at Oracle, and at Palo Alto Networks, F5 Networks, and BMC Software.
