AI infrastructure company VESSL AI (CEO Jae-man Ahn) announced a partnership with PADO AI, a US-based data center energy orchestration platform company. The two companies will jointly develop a grid-aware MLOps solution that operates AI workloads by reflecting real-time power grid and energy conditions.
This collaboration aims to more efficiently manage the rapidly growing demand for AI computing by combining Pado AI's energy intelligence technology with Vessel AI's AI infrastructure orchestration capabilities. As data center investment expands globally and corporate adoption of AI rapidly increases, the cost burden associated with power consumption and grid stability are emerging as key challenges.
The grid-aware MLOps solution being developed by the two companies features optimized deployment of AI computing resources based on energy conditions. Pado AI provides technology that analyzes power grid signals, energy prices, and renewable energy availability to determine the most efficient time and location for AI computation. Vessel AI, based on these assessments, orchestrates the execution, movement, and resumption of AI tasks across GPU and cloud environments.
This allows AI computations to be automatically distributed to times and regions with low power costs or abundant renewable energy. Data centers and businesses can expect reduced operating costs while maintaining AI service quality. Data center operators can also leverage idle resources as grid resources, simultaneously increasing infrastructure efficiency and profitability.
Ahn Jae-man, CEO of Vessel AI, stated that as AI has moved beyond the experimental stage and established itself as a constantly operating infrastructure, the combination of power grid technology and AI orchestration will contribute to improving the operational efficiency and stability of data centers and corporate AI infrastructure.
Wani Park, CEO of Wave AI, said that the proliferation of AI tools is having a growing impact on energy consumption, the power grid, and energy prices, and that through collaboration with Vessel AI, he will simultaneously support improvements in energy efficiency and the growth of the AI industry.
