Global family entertainment company The Pinkfong Company announced on the 20th that it has signed a partnership with Terrapin Station Entertainment, a U.S. live entertainment and tour company, to develop new performances.
Terrapin Station Entertainment has produced and operated large-scale tours of global family IPs such as Disney Junior, Peppa Pig, and Gabby's Magic House, and has a tour network and production capabilities that span North America.
The two companies plan to jointly plan a K-pop concert-style family performance utilizing the IPs of Pinkfong, Baby Shark, and Bebepin, and expand their collaboration to include a global tour in the future. The Pinkfong Company, based on its performance experience of attracting over 1.5 million cumulative audiences in 200 cities across 16 countries around the world, is evolving its business from a live business centered on one-off events to a repeatable tour-style and large-scale performance format, and is expanding its global revenue structure.
The new show, a family-friendly production incorporating the K-pop concert format, aims to be a first-time concert experience for children. Combining music, dance, visual elements, and audience participation, the show will deliver an immersive experience, expanding upon the IP universe of Pinkfong, Baby Shark, and Bebepin on stage. The tour schedule will be announced in the first half of this year.
“Our collaboration with The Pinkfong Company will bring a new type of K-pop family show that combines globally beloved characters, a professional dance crew, exciting music and visuals,” said Jonathan Shank, CEO of Terrapin Station Entertainment.
“This partnership marks a new leap forward for us in the live entertainment industry, connecting directly with global audiences,” said Jeong Yeon-bin, President of The Pinkfong Company’s U.S. subsidiary. “We will continue to expand our connections with fans around the world through high-quality performance experiences.”
