Xenon Wins AI Document Preprocessing and Work Automation Project from Korea South-East Power

Xenon (CEO Seok-Tae Ko), a company specializing in generative AI solutions, announced on the 20th that it had won a contract from Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd. to ‘build a document preprocessing system and develop additional AI functions.’

This project aims to expand the use of generative AI across Korea South-East Power, enhance information accessibility, and enhance employee efficiency through AI-based business services. Xenon aims to develop AI capabilities tailored to actual workplaces, automate repetitive tasks, and create an environment where employees can focus on core tasks.

Xenon will first build an intelligent document preprocessing system to convert Korea South-East Power's diverse internal data into a form usable by AI agents. By applying document textualization, semantic chunking, and visual-language model-based document understanding technologies, Xenon will accurately extract core information and context from unstructured data that is difficult to decipher with OCR. The refined data will be managed through a hybrid search system that integrates keyword search, vector search, and conditional filtering.

Based on this, AI agents that can be utilized in business departments will also be developed. Key services include a RAG-based search platform, a contract automation portal, an audit support agent, an SAP voucher auto-entry agent, and an SAP user manual chatbot. These systems are expected to automate internal administrative tasks and repetitive document processing, contributing to increased employee efficiency and convenience.

With this order, Xenon has strengthened its expertise in enterprise AI solutions. Building on its extensive experience with AI projects in the financial sector, Xenon is expanding its client base to include Korea Midland Power, Korea Gas Corporation, and now Korea South-East Power, solidifying its position in the power generation and energy industries.

“The power generation industry handles a large volume of specialized documents, so sophisticated data preprocessing and field-tailored AI capabilities will be key to business competitiveness,” said Xenon CEO Koh Seok-tae. “Based on Xenon’s technological prowess, we will continue to support AI-based business innovation across the power generation and energy industries.”
