Daejeon Innovation Center is recruiting companies specializing in deep tech, big data, AI, and robotics through its early-stage startup package.

The Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center announced that it is recruiting promising early-stage startups in the fields of big data, AI, and robotics as part of the 2026 Early Startup Package Deep Tech Specialized Project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

This project targets early-stage companies based on deep tech technology that have been in business for less than three years. The National Creative Economy Innovation Center will participate as the lead organization for each field, focusing on five major deep tech fields: big data/AI, robotics, bio/health, future mobility, and eco-friendliness/energy, and plans to select approximately 100 companies in total.

Among these, the Daejeon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation will participate as the lead organization in the fields of big data, AI, and robotics, selecting approximately 25 startups. Selected companies will receive commercialization funding of an average of 130 million won per company, with a maximum of 150 million won. Furthermore, they will receive comprehensive support leveraging local infrastructure, including childcare facilities, investment linkages, and global expansion assistance.

Additionally, the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center will provide customized support programs specializing in deep tech, including business model advancement, technology commercialization roadmap establishment, open innovation in collaboration with large and medium-sized enterprises, and global linkages based on verification and PoC, to participating companies.

Park Dae-hee, the head of the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, explained that deep-tech startups require not only technological prowess but also a commercialization strategy to connect with the market. He also said that the center plans to continue providing field-oriented support to help early-stage startups settle into the market and achieve sustainable growth based on the research and development infrastructure centered around the Daedeok Research and Development Special Zone.

Meanwhile, applications for the 2026 Early Startup Package Deep Tech Specialized Project can be submitted through the K-Startup website from January 6 to January 27, 4:00 PM. Details can be found on the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center website.
