Coxwave and OpenAI Successfully Complete Joint Hackathon

Coxwave (CEO Joo-won Kim) announced on the 21st that the 'OpenAI Coxwave Hackathon: Multi-Agent Workflow', jointly held with OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, has successfully concluded.

This hackathon, held on the 20th at the Drium Forest Hall in Seoul, saw the participation of 16 teams and 50 developers, selected through a 6:1 competition. Participants, comprised of AI startup engineers and AI developers from large corporations, developed AI agent solutions usable in real-world corporate environments. These solutions were implemented as production-level systems designed to enhance corporate efficiency in areas such as marketing, HR, security and compliance, data analysis, and knowledge management.

OpenAI enhanced the hackathon's success by providing technical training sessions and mentoring for participants' code feedback throughout the event. In the final round, the AIM team won first place for developing a story-creating agent for game studios, while the Chicken Dinner team and the OMG team took second and third place, respectively. Prize money was awarded in the form of OpenAI API credits.

“This was an opportunity for Korean developers to experience AI workflows that can be utilized in an enterprise environment firsthand,” said Thomas Jeong, OpenAI’s Asia Pacific startup director. “We will continue to collaborate with the Korean AI ecosystem in the future.”

Coxwave CEO Kim Joo-won said, “This was a meaningful event where Korea’s top AI developers came together with global AI companies to create practical solutions,” and added, “We will expand our cooperation in the future to contribute to the growth of the Korean AI ecosystem.”
