
Service robotics company VD Robotics Co., Ltd. announced on the 21st that it has signed an exclusive domestic distribution agreement with global consumer exoskeleton (wearable robotics) company Hypershell. The contract signing ceremony was held on the 20th at Hypershell's headquarters in Shenzhen, China, and was attended by key executives from both companies, including VD Robotics CEO Ham Pan-sik and Hypershell co-founder and COO Penn Yu.
Through this agreement, VD Robotics has secured exclusive domestic distribution rights for all Hypershell products and will be responsible for all aspects of distribution, marketing, sales, and maintenance. This collaboration marks Hypershell's first official entry into the Korean market. Based on this partnership, VD Robotics plans to expand its business into the outdoor consumer exoskeleton sector.
Hypershell, a Shenzhen-based global robotics company, is recognized as a global leader in consumer exoskeletons. Founded in 2021, the company has grown by launching innovative products and won the Best Innovation Award in the Robotics category at CES 2025. Hypershell products utilize AI to assist the user's movements, instantly augmenting and controlling force. They are introducing a new category to the domestic wearables market, previously focused on medical and rehabilitation applications, for outdoor activities and everyday use.
VD Robotics plans to introduce the entire lineup of four Hypershell X products to the Korean market, and plans to officially unveil them next month and then begin full-scale domestic supply through various distribution channels. With the recent spread of outdoor activities such as running, trekking, hiking, and cycling in Korea, interest in exercise and physical fitness is growing. Within this trend, VD Robotics expects that Hypershell products will provide an experience that complements users' physical limitations.
The distribution strategy will expand beyond B2C to B2B, broadening contact points across corporate and industrial sectors. This will strengthen the foundation of wearable robotics across various industries and provide new experiences that enhance mobility and mobility.
