SDT to Supply Immersion Cooling Solutions to KETI's Reliability Research Center

Quantum standard technology specialist SDT announced on the 22nd that it had supplied its high-performance liquid immersion cooling solution, ‘AquaRack,’ to the Reliability Research Center of the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI).

This supply was initiated to enhance the thermal management and reliability testing environment for next-generation semiconductor components. Previously, some research sites used simple containers filled with immersion oil for testing due to a lack of dedicated equipment, limiting precise temperature control and data acquisition.

To improve this research environment, SDT provided KETI's Reliability Research Center with customized immersion cooling equipment tailored to its research objectives. A dedicated mounting bracket was developed to accommodate a variety of test specimens, including standardized servers and small heat-generating chips. Furthermore, the equipment's front was designed with a transparent structure, allowing researchers to monitor the experimental process in real time, enhancing research convenience.

Prior to implementation, the KETI Reliability Research Center visited the SDT manufacturing site in Guro-gu, Seoul, to review the production process and stability testing procedures before making the final decision to adopt the system. During this process, SDT's hardware customization capabilities, based on its quantum design and manufacturing capabilities, were evaluated.

Meanwhile, SDT's Aqua Rack is expanding its application to data centers, high-performance computing (HPC), and precision research fields based on its cooling efficiency and energy-saving effects.
