InnoSimulation announced that it has won a contract worth approximately 3.7 billion won from Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to improve the performance of KF-16 flight training equipment. This project aims to enhance the performance of the simulator (SIM) and cockpit procedure training (CPT) video display system used for KF-16 pilot training.
The project's primary focus is equipment upgrades that reflect the latest operational environments and training requirements. This focus will be on implementing high-resolution images and creating a realistic training environment. The goal is to improve the visual performance and system stability of existing training equipment.
This contract is considered a reflection of InnoSimulation's experience in developing flight simulators and its capabilities in executing defense projects. This contract follows the TA-50 trainer simulator project, continuing the company's expansion into the flight simulator sector. This project also includes collaboration with Lockheed Martin, the original manufacturer of the F-16.
InnoSimulation has applied physical AI-based training systems to various fields, including autonomous driving, defense, and virtual training. It is currently conducting AI and autonomous driving demonstrations at a large-scale driving simulator built at the Gwangju AI Industrial Convergence Complex. Furthermore, it is conducting domestic and international projects related to railway, aviation, and defense simulators and virtual training systems.
The company plans to use this project as an opportunity to advance aviation and defense simulator technology and expand related markets, and to explore entry into overseas defense markets through the development of XR and AI-based next-generation training systems.
