Bluepoint Partners announced on the 22nd that three nuclear deep-tech companies, following initial investments and intensive acceleration, have been selected as core companies by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The selected companies, RX, Qtop, and Qbeam Solutions, have all received Bluepoint investment and technology commercialization support since their inception.
KAERI core companies are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of cooperation with researchers, technological competitiveness, financial indicators, and company size. Selected companies can receive various support, including use of research facilities, dispatch of personnel, and global marketing.
RX possesses next-generation nuclear power plant engineering core technologies, including a spiral steam generator design platform, and is carrying out national projects related to small modular reactors (SMRs). QTOP offers an alternative to the global materials market with its laser-based isotope separation technology and is promoting the expansion of the supply of core materials for the energy, medical, and quantum industries. QBEAM Solutions provides energy solutions applicable to industrial and research settings based on its compact nuclear fusion generator technology.
Choi Soo-im, team leader of Bluepoint Frontier Tech, said, “The fact that the three companies we initially discovered were simultaneously selected as core companies is a symbolic example that demonstrates the industrial value of nuclear power technology,” and added, “We will continue to build a technology commercialization ecosystem so that original technologies can lead to market innovation.”
