Carrot Launches Online Community "Cafe" Service in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon

Carrot, Korea's leading local community community, announced on the 22nd that it has launched a "Café" service in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, allowing users to share interests with their neighbors. Carrot Cafe is an online space where users can share information on specific topics in the form of posts, regardless of time or location. Unlike the existing neighborhood-level exposure method, Carrot Cafe expands its exposure to city and district levels, allowing users to connect with neighbors in a wider area.

The cafe is divided into 17 categories, including health/diet, gaming, travel, economy/finance, mom cafes, and fan cafes. When users create a cafe, AI automatically recommends appropriate categories, and the post-centric feed format and dedicated editor enable highly readable content creation.

Additionally, a monetization program for cafe operators has been introduced. Cafe owners in the metropolitan area can earn up to 200,000 won per month based on operational performance. This program will be gradually expanded as the service area expands.

A Carrot official stated, “Demand for spaces where people can communicate around common interests is increasing online,” and added, “We plan to further enhance our cafe functions and expand our service area in the future.”
