AI dubbing startup Hudson AI has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sinclair Broadcast Group, one of the largest broadcasting groups in the United States, and will begin full-scale expansion of K-content using AI dubbing technology into the US market.

This MOU was signed on January 8, 2026, at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, USA, and was attended by Shin Hyun-jin, CEO of Hudson AI, and Del Parks, President of Technology of Sinclair Broadcast Group. Through this agreement, the two companies will collaborate to launch a dedicated K-content channel (K-Channel) based on U.S. terrestrial broadcasting.

This partnership aims to establish a global distribution model for Korean content by combining Hudson AI's next-generation AI dubbing technology with Sinclair's extensive US terrestrial broadcast network. The two companies plan to localize diverse Korean content, including dramas and entertainment shows, through AI dubbing, thereby providing K-content to American viewers without language barriers.

Sinclair Broadcast Group is a leading U.S. media company that owns, operates, or services 179 television stations in 81 markets and partners with all major terrestrial networks. Sinclair plans to launch K-Channel in 2026 using the next-generation broadcast standard, ATSC 3.0. The K-Channel will be provided as a next-generation terrestrial broadcast service supporting hybrid broadcasting (integrating EPG and CTV), interactive services, and datacasting. K-Channel will be broadcast as Sinclair's ATSC 3.0-based terrestrial broadcast service.

Hudson AI utilizes its next-generation solution, "Hudson Dubbing Studio 2.0," to localize diverse content, including dramas, movies, and live sports, with high-sensitivity, immersive multilingual dubbing. K-Channel is based on the original Korean content, but viewers can choose between English or Spanish dubbing (with additional languages available). Hudson AI preserves the original speaker's emotions and nuances, even reproducing nonverbal elements like laughter and tears. Through an AI dubbing agent that analyzes and controls the emotional flow and acting tone for each scene, it dramatically reduces the unnatural emotional dissonance that occurs in conventional dubbing.

In the second half of last year, Hudson AI collaborated with major Korean media companies, including CJ ENM and LG Electronics, to localize over 400 hours of Korean drama content and distribute it to commercial FAST channels in North America and Europe. Furthermore, the company is expanding its AI dubbing application to live sports, including by partnering with LG U+ to provide AI-dubbed live broadcasts of KBO regular season games.

“This collaboration with Sinclair marks a significant turning point for Hudson AI’s AI dubbing technology to expand into the U.S. terrestrial broadcasting market,” said Shin Hyun-jin, CEO of Hudson AI. “We will do our best to ensure that K-content is delivered to American viewers in a more natural and immersive way.”

“AI dubbing is fundamentally changing the way global content is distributed,” said Del Parks, President of Technology at Sinclair Broadcast Group. “By combining Hudson AI’s innovative dubbing technology with Sinclair’s nationwide broadcast infrastructure, we will create a new global distribution model for Korean content.”
