Youngwoo DSP announced on the 22nd that it had signed a display equipment supply contract worth approximately 7 billion won with Samsung Display Vietnam. The final contract amount is approximately 7.046 billion won, representing approximately 11.9% of last year's consolidated sales.
Under this agreement, Youngwoo DSP will supply equipment used in the display panel manufacturing process to a local production line in Vietnam. The contract period runs from January 21 to November 30, 2026. Equipment delivery is scheduled for the end of June this year, with installation completed by the end of November.
The market is interpreting this order win as an extension of the order recovery trend that has continued since the company's performance turnaround in the third quarter of last year. In particular, the fact that it represents a series of contracts with key global customers is seen as a potential indicator of future performance improvement.
Industry insiders predict that as the display industry enters a gradual recovery phase, the resumption of investment, particularly in high-value-added panels for IT and automotive applications, will likely lead to improved performance for equipment manufacturers. Consequently, companies capable of supplying key process equipment are also increasingly seeing increased order visibility.
Youngwoo DSP has been fulfilling its equipment supply contract with Samsung Display through continuous cooperation, and expects this contract to be an opportunity to strengthen the foundation for mid- to long-term growth beyond a one-time order.
A company official said, “This contract is an order that will increase visibility for performance growth in 2026 as we continue the performance growth trend since the third quarter of last year,” and “We plan to continue to strengthen our technological competitiveness to respond to next-generation display processes while expanding supply centered on major global customers.”
