
DayOne Company, Korea's leading adult education content company, announced on the 23rd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AI startup Upstage to foster AI-specialized talent.
This agreement aims to systematically cultivate practical AI talent capable of immediate application in industrial settings. The two companies plan to establish a close cooperative system, sharing roles and responsibilities across the entire process, from training planning and operation to performance management.
Under the agreement, DayOne Company will conduct a job analysis based on the participating companies' workforce needs and develop and operate tailored education and training programs. It will also provide scholarships and internship opportunities for graduates, and provide online lecture content to establish a talent development model that links education and employment.
Upstage provides graphics processing units (GPUs) to trainees to experience industry-level practical training environments, and establishes and operates a training performance management and evaluation system. Furthermore, it oversees the overall technical infrastructure, including provision of training datasets, technical consulting and mentoring, trainee recruitment, and program promotion.
Shin Hae-dong, CEO of Day One Company's Fast Campus division, emphasized the importance of practical connections between industry and education in fostering AI talent, and announced that he would systematically design the entire process, from job analysis to employment linkage, to foster talent capable of achieving results in the field.
Meanwhile, DayOne Company is participating in the Upstage Consortium, which has passed the first stage of the government-led National AI Foundation Model Development Project, and is responsible for national AI literacy education. The two companies plan to continue their collaboration in education and technology, jointly working to expand the domestic AI ecosystem.
