MegaZone Cloud Chairman Lee Ju-wan and Hana Bank President Lee Ho-seong signed a 'Strategic Business Agreement for Mutual Collaboration and Financial Service Support in the AI Cloud Market' at Hana Bank's Euljiro headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 23rd.
Through this agreement, the two parties agreed that Hana Bank will provide financial support for the import of large-scale GPU/NPU servers that MegaZone Cloud plans to introduce in connection with the construction of an AI data center to achieve the government's vision of becoming one of the three global AI powers, and that they will continue to cooperate in discovering convergence business models that utilize the technologies and services of both parties, such as financial services, cloud, and AI.
In addition to providing financial support for GPU/NPU server imports, Hana Bank also plans to pursue direct and indirect equity investments. This is expected to strengthen MegaZone Cloud's technological competitiveness and support the supply and demand of GPUs for domestic big tech and semiconductor companies, stimulating their growth.
Hwang In-cheol, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of MegaZone Cloud, said, “We will develop AI finance-specific solutions by combining MegaZone Cloud’s multi-hybrid cloud operation capabilities and AI-specific platform with Hana Bank’s financial data, and accelerate the activation of a finance-specific AI data center.”
