Duwat Signs MOU with Yonsei University's DLI Lab and Paramita AI

DOWHAT, a smart hotel integrated platform company, announced on the 26th that it has signed a joint development agreement with Yonsei University's Data and Language Intelligence Lab (DLI Lab) and Paramita AI for AI Transformation (AX) in the hospitality industry.

This agreement focuses on jointly developing and enhancing AI Agent-based pricing support solutions and AI-based marketing automation solutions to address pricing complexity and marketing execution inefficiencies arising in hotel operations.

Hotel pricing strategies are inherently complex, with numerous variables such as demand fluctuations, seasonality and day of the week, room type mix, promotional policies, and operational constraints, making it difficult for practitioners to quickly make optimal decisions. To address these challenges, the three organizations are researching and developing AI agent-based pricing support that simultaneously considers hotel operational goals and constraints. They are applying a method that goes beyond simple predictions to provide decision-making scenarios and actionable options.

Even in the marketing realm, collaboration focuses on solving practical problems. Hotel marketing involves complex processes such as defining customer segments, designing offers, operating messages, coordinating timing, and analyzing performance, and is highly human-dependent. AI-based marketing automation solutions reduce these operational bottlenecks and support automated analysis, design, and operation of campaigns tailored to customer characteristics and situations.

The three organizations also focused their collaboration on developing hospitality-specific AI models and algorithms to support these two solutions. They plan to build models and a verification system that can operate reliably in real-world operations, reflecting on-site conditions such as hotel operational context, service quality, customer experience, human resources, inventory, and policy constraints, as well as seasonality and regionality.

Duwat CEO Kim Joo-young stated, "Based on domain data and operational context accumulated from hotel sites, we will develop a performance-based AX solution that uses AI to support practical decision-making and execution." Professor Lee Dong-ha of Yonsei University's DLI Lab stated, "Through cutting-edge AI methodologies and verification systems, we will contribute to advancing highly reliable hospitality-specific AI applicable to industrial settings."
