Endotrite CTO Kim Seon-tae presented a case study on generative AI-based 3D CAD design automation at HCI Korea 2026.

Kim Seon-tae, Chief Technology Officer of Endotrite, an AI-based 3D CAD creation solution company, will present generative AI-based 3D product design automation technology and real-world industrial application cases at HCI Korea 2026 on January 27th.

HCI Korea 2026 is Korea's largest academic event on human-computer interaction, bringing together experts from academia and industry to share the latest research and technological trends.

In this presentation, CTO Kim Seon-tae will examine the development of AI-based 3D content creation technology and introduce a case study of product design automation that automatically creates articulated objects using Trinix, Endotrite's text- and image-based 3D CAD creation solution.

Traditional 3D product design required complex steps such as manual modeling or 3D scanning followed by noise removal and post-processing. This process required high skill, significant time, and significant costs. In contrast, Trinix can automatically generate high-quality 3D CAD files using only text or image input. It also generates 3D composite data for simulation, increasing the efficiency of both design and AI learning.

This session will also cover text- and image-based 3D CAD design automation workflows, industrial compatibility using standard CAD formats, 3D synthetic data generation for robot simulation and AI learning, and human-AI collaboration models.

CTO Kim Seon-tae explained that generative AI is not a technology that replaces human creativity, but rather a tool that helps people focus on creative thinking by performing repetitive and complex tasks. He emphasized that this can simultaneously increase both individual and corporate productivity and work efficiency.

Meanwhile, CTO Kim Seon-tae led the development of a 3D rendering engine optimized for mobile environments at Samsung Electronics' DMC Research Center and led the Clova AI avatar team at Naver. He later co-founded NdotLite and developed its own 3D CAD engine, NdotCAD. In 2023, he won a CES Innovation Award for introducing Korea's first web-based 3D CAD solution. Recently, he has been showcasing AI technologies based on his own CAD engine at global events such as NVIDIA GTC and AI Day Seoul.
