Global fintech company WireBarley announced a partnership with Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC). This marks the first partnership between a Korean fintech company and LAFC, and WireBarley will serve as LAFC's official partner in the international remittance sector.

This collaboration is significant because it unites two brands that have thrived on global connectivity, trust, and community. LAFC is one of the most internationally recognized clubs in Major League Soccer (MLS), representing the diversity and global identity of Los Angeles. This aligns with WireBarley's mission to provide customers around the world with an easy, transparent, and reliable international remittance service.

WireBarley serves customers through its innovative digital remittance platform in key markets across North America, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. This partnership will further strengthen WireBarley's ties to the Asian community in the US and continue to expand awareness of its secure, mobile-centric services to a global audience.

Additionally, WireBarley will secure marketing rights in Los Angeles, USA, and select countries. The two companies will offer a variety of content, events, and game experience programs, including digital and social media collaborations, to enhance fan engagement. Furthermore, they will collaborate closely, centered on the shared values of innovation, inclusivity, and a global perspective—the core philosophies of both organizations.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with WireBarley, a company dedicated to connecting people from diverse countries and cultures,” said Larry Freedman, LAFC Co-President. “As a club based in Los Angeles, one of the most global cities in the world, this partnership is a natural fit as it reflects the identity of our fan base.”

“We are honored to partner with LAFC, a team renowned for its exceptional performance and dedication to its fans,” said Joong-Won Yoo, CEO of WireBarley. “This collaboration goes beyond the stadium; it aims to connect communities and create meaningful experiences. This will provide an opportunity for local LA fans, as well as WireBarley customers around the world, including those in Korea and Australia, to experience the passion of LAFC firsthand through matches and various online experiences, bringing them closer to the club.”

Meanwhile, WireBarley provides international remittance services to a total of 46 countries, including seven countries: Korea, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Hong Kong (temporarily suspended). With 2.2 million cumulative app downloads and 1.1 million subscribers worldwide, WireBarley is solidifying its position as Asia's leading international remittance and payment service.
