Explosive growth, including up to 100% quarterly sales increase and 40% new user influx.
Differentiating ourselves from competitors with 40% higher AI simultaneous interpretation and translation accuracy and QR code-based personalized services.
– Event Cat's traction led to a company-wide profit in the third quarter.

XL8 (CEO Younghoon Jeong), a global simultaneous interpretation and translation AI company, announced that its real-time AI interpretation and translation solution, EventCAT, has surpassed $1 million in annual sales. This milestone represents a 1,250% increase year-over-year and continues the company's steady growth since its launch in June 2023.
EventCat is an AI simultaneous interpretation and translation solution specialized for business meetings, lectures, and large-scale conferences. Its proprietary AI engine, trained on expert-curated data accumulated over 20 years, predicts and analyzes age- and gender-appropriate expressions, resulting in a consistent translation tone and manner. To date, EventCat has been used by over 1,000 leading global companies and organizations, supporting over 50 languages.
By 2025, EventCat had been used for over 30,000 hours at online and offline events worldwide. Real-time translation and interpretation for online meetings accounted for a quarter of this, and over 7,000 conference sessions were held. Notably, new subscribers accounted for approximately 40% of total users, and quarterly revenue increased by up to 100% compared to the previous quarter, demonstrating explosive growth.
A key growth driver is its differentiated service competitiveness, driven by the growing demand for global events. EventCat's specialized translation AI engine achieves up to 40% higher accuracy than competitors, and offers personalized services ranging from first and second language selection to font size and font style, all easily accessible through a QR code scan.
Building on this foundation, XL8 has expanded its market presence by successively introducing it at large-scale events for global companies and institutions, including SK Hynix, LG, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and Yonsei University. As a result, XL8 has secured profitability by surpassing the break-even point in the third quarter of 2025, and has established a stable dual revenue base along with the AI content localization platform "MediaCAT," which was launched in 2022.
To sustain EventCat's growth, XL8 is working to enhance its services. The company plans to enhance user convenience by improving the UI for online meeting and conference support features and expanding the available language options for solution configuration.
XL8 CEO Younghoon Jeong said, “Eventcat has proven its competitiveness in the global real-time interpretation and translation market by achieving annual sales of 1 million dollars,” and added, “Based on the two axes of Mediacat and Eventcat, we will lead the AI interpretation and translation market by accelerating the expansion of global market share and technological advancement in 2026.”
Meanwhile, XL8 will provide EventCat to the global AI conference 'AI SEOUL 2026' hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government to be held on the 30th of this month to support communication between world-class AI scholars and industry leaders.
