UR Planner (CEO Woohong Jang), a beauty and commerce solutions company that supports the global expansion of K-beauty brands, announced on the 27th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of Management and Technology (UMT) located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to strengthen industry-academia cooperation.
This agreement goes beyond simple personnel exchange and aims to establish a practical industry-academia cooperation model where local MZ generation college students in Vietnam can directly verify the marketability of K-beauty brands and participate in marketing activities.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will focus on joint research on the K-beauty and digital commerce markets, market analysis and pilot projects for entering the Vietnamese market, collaboration on locally tailored content and marketing, and industry-academia collaborative education and talent exchange programs.
Specifically, UMT students will directly participate in YourPlanner's partner brand projects, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in product analysis and marketing strategy development from a local consumer perspective. Based on the local data and insights gleaned from this process, YourPlanner plans to provide its partners with more sophisticated Vietnamese market entry strategies. Furthermore, outstanding students will be offered internships and full-time employment opportunities, building a talent pipeline that attracts top local talent.
UMT, a private educational institution in Vietnam with a curriculum encompassing management, technology, and digital, is strengthening its practical education. YourPlanner expects this collaboration to enhance students' practical skills and job competitiveness, while also providing companies with a strong local understanding of the local environment.
YourPlanner provides integrated solutions for brands seeking to enter the ASEAN market, including Vietnam, supporting the entire export process, from market analysis and licensing to distribution and marketing. Leveraging local infrastructure, we offer transparent distribution structures and pricing policies, supporting the stable expansion of domestic companies into the global market.
Jang Woo-hong, CEO of YourPlanner, said, “This agreement is a model of mutual cooperation that provides students with practical career development opportunities and companies with reliable data on the local market,” and added, “We will continue to support domestic companies to enter the Vietnamese market stably based on our data-based analysis capabilities.”
