MakinaRocks (CEO Seongho Yoon), an industry-specialized AI company, announced that it was selected for the '2026 Emerging AI+X Top 100' hosted by the Korea Artificial Intelligence Industry Association (AIIA).
The "Emerging AI+X Top 100" is a comprehensive list of domestic AI companies, selected based on their technological competitiveness, industrial application performance, and growth potential. MakinaRocks has been selected in the Manufacturing category for six consecutive years since the evaluation began in 2021, recognized for its experience commercializing and operating AI solutions specialized for advanced manufacturing.
Based on its proprietary AI platform, "MakinaRocks Runway," MakinaRocks has built an end-to-end AI environment that enables manufacturing companies to manage the entire lifecycle, from data collection and analysis to model development, operation, and deployment. In addition to its existing manufacturing-specific AI areas such as optimization, prediction, and predictive maintenance, MakinaRocks has recently expanded its offering of industry-tailored AI solutions that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and agent technology.
A prime example is a specialized AI drawing solution for highly complex manufacturing environments such as heavy industry and semiconductors. This solution automatically analyzes design drawing information, links it to the bill of materials (BOM) and manages review and change history, and structures repetitive drawing review tasks into data units, reducing review and change management time by two to three times compared to previous processes.
In addition, MakinaRocks plans to introduce a vision AI solution that detects atypical defects occurring in industrial processes such as welding based on data and standardizes inspection criteria previously reliant on subjective human judgment using AI. This solution enables defect identification centered on AI inspection software without expensive hardware. Its PoC approach, utilizing a demo kit to capture, learn, and verify data on-site, facilitates rapid implementation. MakinaRocks is promoting the continuous operation and expansion of AI in manufacturing sites by providing this solution as an ongoing, usable solution rather than a one-time project.
“For AI to be practically utilized in industrial settings, we must consider not only model performance but also the flow of field data and the specificities of the operating environment,” said Yoon Seong-ho, CEO of MakinaRocks. “I believe this is a meaningful evaluation of the experience and efforts we have accumulated to create AI that can actually be used in the field.”
