Cloud specialist company Gabia (CEO Hong-Guk Kim and Jong-Hong Won) announced on the 27th that it had been selected as a supplier for the ‘Small Business Personnel and Labor Management System Establishment Support Project’ hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
This project targets small businesses with fewer than 30 employees who are struggling to implement a systematic human resources system. The government will allocate relevant budget to support the cost of introducing a superior private human resources management platform, with the goal of strengthening the labor management capabilities of small businesses and protecting workers' rights.
Gabia will utilize the KRW 900 million government subsidy allocated for this project to provide Hiworks, the groupware platform with the largest domestic market share. Selected small businesses will be able to utilize Hiworks services, worth KRW 150,000 per month for 25 employees, fully subsidized by the government. The maximum benefit per business will reach KRW 1.8 million by the end of the year. This will enable the establishment of a systematic human resources management system utilizing core functions such as attendance management, payroll generation, and electronic employment contracts.
Hiworks HR Management offers collaborative features like email, messenger, and electronic approval, along with HR management, all in a single platform. Supported programs offer advanced features such as GPS-based mobile attendance tracking, access control system integration, PC-off functionality, and electronic contracts. This allows even small businesses that struggle to staff a dedicated HR representative to proactively manage risks while complying with labor laws, such as the 52-hour workweek.
In particular, electronic approval and personnel data integration allow for overtime requests and vacation approvals to be instantly reflected in attendance data, enabling accurate payroll ledger creation and statement issuance. Furthermore, free access to the five major legally mandated training content and certificate issuance features enhances practical convenience.
Gabia CEO Lee Jeong-hwan said, “Many small businesses are struggling to comply with labor laws and manage labor due to personnel and cost issues,” and added, “We will actively support small businesses to adopt the best solution without cost burden and increase work efficiency through automation of labor management using AI chat.”
