JLK (CEO Dongmin Kim), a medical artificial intelligence (AI) specialist company, announced that it is supplying its stroke AI solution to Dong-A University Hospital on a subscription basis, thereby accelerating its nationwide market expansion centered on regional hospitals.
Dong-A University Hospital has implemented an AI solution to support stroke patient lesion assessment and treatment decision-making, along with the JLK-PWI brain MR imaging solution, and is currently being used in clinical practice. The solution automatically analyzes brain imaging data to provide quantitative information on lesion status, facilitating rapid and consistent decision-making by medical staff.
Dong-A University Hospital, a leading general hospital in the Busan and Gyeongnam region, operates a multidisciplinary collaborative treatment system centered on the departments of neurology, neurosurgery, and radiology, and provides systematic stroke treatment from acute diagnosis to treatment and prognosis management.
By expanding its subscription-based AI solution offerings, focusing on regional hospitals, JLK is moving beyond its initial introduction focused on large hospitals in the metropolitan area and entering the nationwide hospital market in earnest. The subscription model is strategically significant, as it enables access to AI solutions at regional medical institutions and establishes a sustainable revenue stream through actual clinical use.
JLK CEO Kim Dong-min said, “The actual clinical use at Dong-A University Hospital is an example that shows that the stroke AI solution can be applied standardly across hospital sizes and regions.” He added, “Based on the subscription model proven in local medical settings, we will expand supply to the nationwide hospital market and strengthen a stable and repeatable sales structure.”
