Aib, a decentralized AI cloud startup, announced on the 28th that it has secured 600 million won in pre-A funding from Bluepoint Partners, Low Partners, and AI Angel Club. This investment brings its total investment to 2.1 billion won.
Aib provides AI infrastructure based on a distributed computing architecture that connects idle GPU resources around the world, rather than relying on central data centers. Through Air Cloud, Aib collaborates with partners with nationwide PC room networks to secure idle GPU resources and deploys personal LLM devices at key regional locations to integrate and utilize heterogeneous distributed resources.
This provides a stable AI inference environment at up to 40% lower cost without a data center, and supports running and deploying AI models without complex infrastructure setup or specialized personnel.
Aib has proven the technological prowess and business viability of its distributed AI cloud platform through technology and business verification programs from major IT companies, including LG U+ SHIFT, Samsung C-Lab, and SK Telecom's AI Accelerating Program. With this investment, Aib plans to accelerate the advancement of its enterprise-focused cloud technology and business expansion.
Cha Woo-jin, a senior auditor at Bluepoint, said, “AB is a team with differentiated technological competitiveness in the AI infrastructure field, which has high technical hurdles,” and “there is a high possibility that it will grow into a key company that will lead the next-generation AI infrastructure market.”
Park Se-jin, CEO of Aib, said, “Aircloud is seeing continuous growth in customer indicators based on stable usability, and we will expand distributed network resources in line with growth demand.” He added, “We will strive to standardize distributed AI cloud technology through R&D and create a sustainable K-cloud alternative that AI service companies can realistically choose.”
