KOSA Hosts the 35th Run & Grow Forum

The Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA, Chairman Cho Jun-hee) held the 35th KOSA Run & Grow Forum at the Samjeong Hotel in Seoul on January 28th. Approximately 100 representatives and executives from major domestic AI and software companies attended the event.

At the forum, Professor Kim Sang-bae of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Seoul National University gave a lecture on "Data Security War in the AI Era." Professor Kim explained that the competition for AI hegemony is expanding beyond the technological realm to encompass policy regulation, discourse competition, and even diplomatic and security issues. He emphasized that the rapid spread of AI and big data has ushered in an era where data directly impacts national competitiveness and security, and that it is necessary to move beyond conventional trade discussions and reinterpret data strategies from an "emerging security" perspective.

Professor Kim also suggested that Korea should move beyond simple regulations or defensive approaches to build a self-reliant data ecosystem that strengthens domestic industrial competitiveness and explore proactive data sovereignty strategies. Participants discussed the impact of AI and data on national security and industrial competitiveness and explored strategic responses.

This forum was sponsored by Yanolja, a travel industry innovation company. Through sponsorship, KOSA supports member companies in promoting their products and solutions and exploring new business opportunities.

The next Run & Grow Forum will be held on March 25th, and related information can be found on the KOSA website .
