IL, a full-stack future mobility platform company, announced on the 28th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Maxerve, a comprehensive facility management specialist, to introduce a robot-based smart facility management solution.
This agreement aims to jointly build a next-generation intelligent facility management standard model by combining Maxerve's nationwide facility management infrastructure with IL's humanoid and autonomous robot and operational software technologies.
The two companies plan to gradually introduce robotic systems that perform functions such as facility patrols and inspections, nighttime security assistance, safety monitoring, anomaly detection and response, and automation of simple, repetitive tasks. IL's physical AI-based robotic platform will be applied to Maxerve's actual operations, refined based on on-site data, and contribute to improved operational efficiency and safety.
Founded in 1974, Maxerve has been a leader in the facility management industry for 50 years. With over 800 business locations and 15,000 professional employees nationwide, it manages corporate headquarters, production facilities, large commercial facilities, and data centers.
The two companies' strategy is to improve the existing facility management industry structure, which is highly dependent on human resources, through a robot-based management system, and to achieve things such as easing the burden on human resources, increasing operational efficiency, reducing safety risks, and optimizing energy management.
Through this agreement, IL plans to move beyond a single robot demonstration project and enter a nationwide scalable business structure, strengthening the foundation for commercialization of a business model that combines robot hardware, operational software, and field data. Going forward, the two companies will begin with the establishment of a pilot site, gradually expanding nationwide and jointly developing an integrated smart business platform. They will also explore entry into the global smart facility management market.
