For the second consecutive year, Kuntek, a convergence security specialist, participated in the "Automotive World 2026" exhibition held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, from January 21st to 23rd, showcasing its self-developed Level 4 virtualization solution, "FastBLabs." Through this exhibition, Kuntek announced its intention to expand its business in the Japanese SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) market.
The Automotive World exhibition is a global event covering cutting-edge automotive technologies such as automotive electronics, electric vehicles, autonomous driving, connected cars, software-defined vehicles, and sustainable mobility, with approximately 1,850 companies and 92,000 industry professionals participating.
At last year's exhibition, Kuntec showcased Fast V-Labs, demonstrating its technological potential and demonstrating its response to the Japanese market. This year's exhibition focused on practical application cases in development settings and the collaborative verification process with OEMs and Tier-1 component suppliers, concretizing its business strategy for the Japanese market.
FastVLabs is an ECU development and verification solution that supports Level 4 full virtualization. It enables the implementation of a consistent execution environment without modifying the actual embedded hardware and software, enabling continuous testing from the initial development stage to integrated verification. This is expected to result in reduced development costs, shortened verification periods, and minimized hardware dependencies, improving productivity.
During the exhibition, Kuntec discussed PoC projects and ways to expand global cooperation with Japanese auto OEMs and Tier-1 parts suppliers, and detailed step-by-step implementation plans, field verification schedules, and the scope of cooperation.
Bang Hyuk-jun, CEO of Kuntec, said, “This exhibition is an opportunity to concretize the practical usability of Fast V Labs and the direction of cooperation with global customers,” and added, “We plan to accelerate the entire SDV development process and expand global market introduction using Japan as a bridgehead.”
