The Ventures Partners with OpenAI, Google, and Antropic

The Ventures (CEO Kim Chul-woo), an early-stage investment firm, announced on the 2nd that it has formed a strategic partnership with OpenAI, Google, and Antropic. This marks the first time a Korean early-stage investment firm has simultaneously partnered with three global tech giants.

Through this agreement, The Ventures will provide credit for the company's Large Language Model (LLM) to startups within its investment portfolio. This will alleviate the high computing costs faced by early-stage startups developing generative AI services and support the technological infrastructure necessary for service advancement. Startups will be able to choose the model most appropriate for their service from among the OpenAI GPT series, Google Gemini, and Antropic Cloud.

Last year, The Ventures became the first in Korea to introduce "Viki," an AI-powered appraiser, accelerating investment decision-making. Viki achieved 87.5% agreement with human appraisers and shortened the review period from several months to just one week. This LLM credit support strengthens the early-stage startup support system by simultaneously enabling rapid funding execution and providing technological infrastructure.

A The Ventures representative said, “For early-stage startups, time is the most important resource, and rapid feedback and technical support provide substantial support for the growth of the founding team.” They added, “Through collaboration with the three big tech companies, we will support our portfolio companies to focus on innovation without cost constraints.”

Founded in 2014, The Ventures is a professional investment firm holding both accelerator and venture capital licenses. Building on its experience operating TIPS and investing in over 250 startups both domestically and internationally, The Ventures is building a global startup support network.
