
The Gangwon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Lee Hae-jeong, Gangwon Center) announced on February 2nd that it will collaborate with Muji to support local businesses in Gangwon Province in expanding their sales channels in the metropolitan area. To this end, the center will host "Connecting Markets: Gangwon" at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, from February 7th to 8th.
This event will feature 11 promising local companies that have grown through support from the Gangwon Innovation Center, showcasing food and lifestyle products utilizing local resources. Participating companies include: Gamjachanggo (potato bread), Likebynest (curry), Leo's Jelly Farm (jelly), Mowol (traditional liquor), Seoljel Company (gelato), Scent Garden (perfume), Soionjeong (chapssaltteok, sikhye), Steel Green (vegan deli), Abekkeu (dried radish and soybean paste soup), Hangahanju (makgeolli), and Chosidae (vinegar).
Through its collaboration with Muji, the Gangwon Innovation Center hopes to promote the excellence of Gangwon local products to consumers in the metropolitan area and to drive tangible sales growth through pop-up events, shop-in-shops, and participation in themed exhibitions. By 2025, the Center had identified and supported 131 companies through programs such as the "New Business Startup Academy," the "Local Creator Development Project," the "Strong Small Business Growth Support Project," and the "Gangwon Local Venture Business Development Project."
