Kim Ga-hyeon, CEO of NEWZ, a future-generation AI·IT knowledge media, attended the 'National Startup Era Strategy Meeting' held at the Blue House on January 30th as a representative of young entrepreneurs and proposed policies to revitalize the startup ecosystem in the AI era.
The meeting was attended by President Lee Jae-myung, Minister of SMEs and Startups Han Seong-sook, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Choi Hwi-young, and other heads of key government agencies. CEO Kim, a former IT journalist with seven years of experience running a startup, highlighted the problems of "restless youth" and the disconnection of the startup ecosystem.
The policy package proposed by CEO Kim consists of four elements: ▲ nurturing AI content solopreneurs, ▲ establishing a "lean startup" camp infrastructure for middle and high school students, ▲ introducing a "Good Failure Certification System" that recognizes failure as a national asset, and ▲ expanding the scope of tech startups for non-majors. Regarding the "Good Failure Certification System," President Lee Jae-myung emphasized the importance of recognizing failure as an experience and asset and fostering a social atmosphere that fosters recovery after failure.
CEO Kim emphasized the need for policy support, saying, "Using AI, even non-specialists and young people can experience failure and develop their capabilities at low cost." NEWZ, which provides knowledge content with a cumulative 1.7 billion views and boasts 200,000 subscribers, supports young people's AI-based entrepreneurship and self-reliance through educational programs such as the AI BIZ Creator School.
