Nota, an AI model lightweighting and optimization technology company, announced on the 3rd that it has signed a contract to supply its AI model optimization platform Netpresso technology to Furiosa AI and high-performance NPU RNGD.
This agreement demonstrates that Nota's Netpresso technology has established itself as a core technology applicable not only to low-end devices but also to high-performance computing infrastructure environments. Netpresso is a platform that reduces AI model size by up to 90% while maintaining accuracy, enabling efficient model optimization and deployment across a variety of hardware configurations.
Nota's AI optimization technology will be utilized to enhance the inference performance of Furiosa AI's second-generation NPU RNGD, enabling it to run large-scale AI models quickly and reliably. This expands Nota's technology offering beyond mobile, PC, and automotive APs to include AI servers and data center semiconductors.
Along with this technology supply agreement, the two companies have agreed to establish a strategic partnership based on Nota's vision AI solution, Nota Vision Agent. They plan to jointly launch a packaged solution combining Nota's vision AI solution and Furiosa AI's RNGD, and pursue sales expansion through a joint business model. This agreement and strategic partnership follow a previously signed technology cooperation MOU, establishing a collaborative system encompassing technology development and commercialization.
Furiosa AI expects that Nota's optimization solutions will enhance the usability and competitiveness of its NPU products across industries. Nota also aims to secure new business opportunities across various industries by combining lightweight, high-performance AI models with NPUs.
