Green bio and molecular diagnostics specialist company Genolution (Co-CEOs Ki-ok Kim and Min-i Kim) announced on the 3rd that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Prime Tech for its nucleic acid extraction equipment 'NX-Duo' system and related consumables in Japan in order to enter the Japanese market.
Under this agreement, Primetech will secure exclusive distribution rights for the NX-Duo product line in Japan and will be responsible for product sales, commercialization, promotion, distribution, maintenance, and support. Headquartered in Tokyo, Primetech is known for its distribution network and technological prowess in the life science equipment sector.
The NX-Duo is an automated device capable of large-scale nucleic acid extraction. Its flexible testing module configuration enhances efficiency in research and diagnostic settings. The contract includes not only the equipment but also a dedicated extraction kit that generates ongoing revenue, which is expected to generate stable revenue.
A Genolution official stated, “This partnership is an important milestone that demonstrates Genolution’s entry into the Japanese market, which has high technological barriers,” and added, “We plan to rapidly expand our share of the Japanese molecular diagnostics and life sciences market by combining the expertise of our local partner with the competitiveness of our own products.”
Starting with its entry into Japan, Genolution plans to strengthen its presence in major Asian countries and advance into becoming a global green bio and molecular diagnostic solutions company.
