Seojin Global Signs 10-Year Supply Agreement with Korean Battery Company for ESS to the US

Seojin Global, the US subsidiary of Seojin Systems, has signed a long-term contract with a major domestic battery manufacturer to supply energy storage systems to the US.

Seojin Global announced that it has signed a 10-year contract with a major domestic battery manufacturer to supply ESS through 2036. The total supply through 2030 is approximately KRW 1.9424 trillion.

This contract targets products using LFP batteries for ESS produced locally by the client in the U.S., and is structured so that Seojin Global will supply 20-foot container-type ESS consisting of ESS battery modules, battery racks, and DC blocks.

This order strengthens the company's position in the North American ESS market. Seojin Systems previously signed a five-year long-term preferred supplier agreement with a major global ESS operator, and this agreement also expands the scope of its collaboration with domestic battery manufacturers.

With this contract, Seojin Systems plans to expand its local production base by adding a new dedicated line to its existing ESS production lines in the US. This will establish a production system where all processes, from design and processing to assembly, verification, and shipping, are performed locally, strengthening collaboration with major clients.

The US local production system operates with a structure that minimizes risks associated with tariffs, logistics, and policy changes. Local procurement and assembly are key features, reducing logistics costs and lead times while enhancing supply stability. This structure contributes to the stable supply chain demanded by the North American market.

The global ESS market continues to grow, driven by demand for AI data center expansion and improved power infrastructure. With limited suppliers capable of providing a stable supply of mid- to large-sized ESS enclosures and metal platforms, Seojin Systems' accumulated experience in producing finished ESS products is expected to provide a competitive advantage.

A Seojin Systems official said that the company is strengthening its supply capacity for the global market based on its U.S. production base and is also in discussions with additional domestic battery manufacturers for North American production.
