Enlighten Installs Solar Power Systems at Ulsan Children's Welfare Facility

Energy and climate tech company Enlighten is continuing its energy support activities for child welfare facilities by installing solar power generation facilities at the Eonyang West Regional Children's Center in Ulsan.

This installation was implemented to alleviate energy costs for child welfare facilities and expand the use of eco-friendly energy. A 2.8kW solar power system was installed on the rooftop of the Eonyang Western Regional Children's Center, and the electricity generated will be consumed within the facility. The resulting electricity savings will be reinvested in welfare services, including child care and education programs. Enlighten will provide comprehensive support, including design, construction, and quality control, to ensure stable operation.

In addition to Enlighten, this project involved Sungrow, a global solar and energy storage system (ESS) company, providing inverters and modules, and Save the Children, an international children's rights NGO, providing on-site support. The Korea Energy Agency also participated in the project process and supported the collaborative system.

The Unyang Western Regional Children's Center is a facility that provides after-school care, learning, and emotional support to local children. The installation of this solar power facility is expected to create a stable operating environment and reduce energy costs.

Lee Young-ho, CEO of Enlighten, said, “It is very meaningful that we can continue to support solar power facilities for child welfare facilities,” and added, “We will continue to expand our activities to support energy-vulnerable groups and create social value.”

Enlighten plans to continue its efforts to build and operate solar power facilities, promote eco-friendly energy using energy data-based platforms, and contribute to society.
